The 4 year old classroom concentrates on Kindergarten readiness in an atmosphere of Christian love. Each child is involved in small group and large group activities. All lessons and activities are designed to help the children build strong skills and confidence in order to have a positive first year of school. Bible stories and teaching Christian values are also an important part of the day. The children are encouraged to become more independent and responsible for themselves. Of course there is also plenty of play time, inside and out, to add to the fun.
Weekly the children have a special enrichment time. This class includes library time, music, art and science. This is a special time for the children to explore and develop the unique gifts God has given them and explore the wonderful world God has created.
Biweekly, chapel is held in the sanctuary. This is a time for the children, as a preschool, to get excited about God and all of His blessings through Bible stories and songs. The biblical teachings are reinforced in the classroom throughout the week.
Small groups are a time for the students to concentrate on Kindergarten readiness skills and get more individual attention. The 30 minute lessons each week concentrate on math, numbers, phonics and science.
