What we did at summer camp on June 16, 2015.

The country we visited was South Africa!

Clownfish (Parent’s Morning Out)

Our art project was: coloring some African children in traditional South African dress as well as some African animals.

Other fun things we did were: playing outside for a little bit, singing our ABCs and dancing.

Our snack was: goldfish and cookies.

Doodlebugs

Our art project was: animal masks.

Other fun things we did were: playing outside a little bit, listening to music, coloring and using glue sticks.

Our snack was: animal cookies, rice cakes and puffs.

Something cool we learned was: what kind of animals live in Africa and that God made them!

Monkeys

Our art project was: making a giraffe from a paper plate.

Other fun things we did were: animal boogie dance, running and playing in the auditorium (too hot outside today.)  We read Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain and Digger the Dinosaur.

Our snack was: veggie chips, raisins and water.

Something cool we learned was: how to dance and something about cheetahs and art!

Bears

We located Algeria, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco and Tanzania.

Our art project was: in two parts.  Today’s was coloring our Kenti cloth.  We will weave it on Thursday.

Other fun things we did were: playing four square and jump rope.

Our snack was: veggie chips, chocolate chip cookies, water.

Something cool we learned was: there is a big time difference between us and African countries.  We also learned that China is not in Africa. 😉
