What we did at summer camp – June 17, 2015

The country we visited was South Africa!

Clownfish (Parent’s Morning Out)

Our art project was: coloring some African animals.

Other fun things we did were: playing outside for a little bit with balls and bubbles.

Our snack was: goldfish and cookies.

We also played with maracas and made various rhythms.

Doodlebugs

Our art project was: coloring pictures of animals.

Other fun things we did were: imitate animals such as frogs, elephants, monkeys and birds.

Our snack was: animal cookies and water.

Something cool we learned was: what different kinds of jungle animals eat.

Monkeys

Our P.E. activities were: having a marching parade, playing maracas and playing balloon soccer.

Other fun things we did were: reading a story called, “Next Stop Zanzibar Road,” and
“Hand, Hand, Fingers, Trunk.”  We also played the drums and went on a safari obstacle course.

Our snack was: potato sticks, fig newtons, banana slices and water.

Something cool we learned was: in Africa they carry things on their heads.

Bears

Our art project was: free draw and coloring.

Other fun things we did were: played Crocodiles and Hippos.  Don’t get bit by the crocodile!  We also played a little soccer and jumped rope.

Our snack was: cheez-its and freeze pops.

Something cool we learned was: Hippos just keep to themselves but crocodiles…not so much!
