The country we visited was Russia.

Our art project was: playing outside and coloring nesting dolls (matryoshka).

Other fun things we did were: played with nesting/stacking toys and sang songs.  One of our favorite things to do!

Our snack was: goldfish, pretzels, apple straws and butter cookies.

Something cool we learned was: how to stack the toys very high!

Doodlebugs

Other fun things we did were: made matryoshka dolls.

Our snack was: cereal and animal crackers.

Monkey Business

Our art/PE activity was: a tiger coloring page and painting an abstract picture to the 1812 overature.

Other fun things we did were: tried to dance like ballerinas.  We also learned about the different types of foods that are popular in Russia.

Our snack was: bananas, veggie chips, chocolate chip cookies.  We tasted pirogues and rye bread too.

We also read “My Many Colored Days” by Dr. Seuss and “Penguin’s Big Hill.”
