What we did in summer camp today – July 14, 2015

The country we visited was Ireland.

Clownfish (Parent’s Morning Out)

Our art project was: coloring a picture of a lamb and playing with bouncy balls.

Other fun things we did were: played with toys and special riding vehicles. We also sang songs and read books.

Our snack was: goldfish pretzels, cheddar crackers and apple straws.

Something cool we learned was: what makes a rainbow?  Colors!  Who made the rainbow?  God!

Monkey Business

Our art project was: making sheep with cotton balls.  Ireland has plenty of sheep that enjoy the Emerald Isle.

Other fun things we did were: coloring a leprechaun picture, played a game with shamrocks and read a book called, “All Kinds of Children.”

Our snack was: brownies, goldfish pretzels, raisins and water.

Something cool we learned was that the Irish eat fish at Easter.  Ireland is from where we get Saint Patrick’s Day.

Busy Bears

Our art/PE activity was: making a coat of arms’ shield.

Other fun things we did were: went on a clover hunt and played doggie, doggie, where’s your bone.  We also read “Tattercoats” – Ireland’s Cinderella.

Our snack was: oatmeal cookies and goldfish.

Something cool we learned was: Saint Patrick is said to have driven out all of the snakes from Ireland.
