What we did in summer camp today. July 15, 2015

The country we visited was Ireland.

Clownfish (Parent’s Morning Out)

Our art project was: coloring a picture with Matthew 6:20 on it.

Other fun things we did were: played on the playground, read books, sang songs and played games.

Our snack was: goldfish, halved grapes and apple straws.

Something cool we learned was: Ireland has a lot of green!

Doodlebugs

Our art project was: making sheep with cotton balls. Ireland has plenty of sheep that enjoy the Emerald Isle.

Other fun things we did were: read the parable of the lost sheep and colored a picture of a shepherd with sheep.

Our snack was: goldfish and water.

Something cool we learned was that Ireland has lots of sheep and Jesus cares about every single one of us.

Monkey Business

Our art project was: painting rainbows and playing balloon volleyball.  We also had a gold coin toss.

Other fun things we did were: coloring a knight mask.  Making a rainbow by holding a glass of water up to the sun.  We read books about Ireland and Saint Patrick’s Day.

Our snack was: goldfish and marshmallows.

Something cool we learned was what birthday celebrations are like in Ireland.  The first coins were form Ireland, who St. Patrick was and all of the different sports that are popular in Ireland.

Busy Bears

Our art/PE activity was: playing outside and centers inside.

Other fun things we did were: tons of games, watched a short video on Celtic music and dancing.

Our snack was: cookies and potato sticks.

Something cool we learned was: about the song, “Danny Boy.”
