What we did in summer camp today, July 23, 2015.

The country we visited was Australia

Clownfish (Parent’s Morning Out)

Our art project was: coloring a platypus, jumping like a kangaroo and playing in the tunnels in the exercise room.

Other fun things we did were: played with puzzles and balls.  Made loud music with our bells and maracas.

Our snack was: goldfish and pretzel goldfish with creme wafers.

Something cool we learned was: A platypus swims fast!

Doodlebugs

Our art project was: coloring gifts (it is summer in Australia at Christmas time) and playing in the tunnels in the exercise room.

Other fun things we did were: puzzles and singing Christmas songs.

Our snack was: pudding Christmas trees.

Something cool we learned was: a wombat’s baby is called a joey.

Monkey Business

Our art project was: a Christmas coloring page and Christmas necklaces.

Other fun things we did were: sang Christmas songs and read books, including the story of Jesus’ birth.

Our snack was: Christmas cookies, grapes and lucky charms.

Something cool we learned was: It is summer in December in Australia.  Santa eats cake not cookies in Australia.  Christmas dinner is usually lamb.  Over 100 million Christmas cards are mailed in Australia.
