Our shape of the month is a square.
We read stories: Pumpkins
We sang songs: Oh The Lord’s Been Good To Me, Open Shut Them, Five Little Pumpkins
We practiced these skills: observation, shape discrimination, geometry in putting together jigsaw puzzles.
We showed our creativity with our play – we were mommies, cooks and construction workers.
For snack we had pretzels, chocolate donuts, water or milk.
We also talked about the four seasons, looked at the fall leaves and talked about all the things you can make with a pumpkin.
