What we did in summer camp, June 18, 2015

The country we visited was South Africa!

Clownfish (Parent’s Morning Out)

Our art project was: coloring some African animals.

Other fun things we did were: playing outside in the water, blowing bubbles and fishing in our wading pool with nets.

Our snack was: goldfish and cookies.

Something cool we learned is that everyone loves to play with water!

Doodlebugs

Our art project was: making monkeys for our snack.  We also colored pictures of giraffes.

Other fun things we did were: played in the water and played with drums.

Our snack was: rice cakes, pudding and bananas.

Something cool we learned was: God made monkeys!

Monkeys

Our art project was: stringing beads and we also colored the South African flag.

Other fun things we did were: reading a story called, “Honey, Honey, Lion,” and
“The Loudest Lion.” We also played in the safari obstacle course.  We had water day.

Our snack was: monkey cakes.

Something cool we learned was: Africa is called a rainbow nation.

Bears

Our art project was: finishing our Kente cloth.

Other fun things we did were: water day!

Our snack was: popcorn.

Something cool we learned was: who Nelson Mandela was.
